Once uppon a time...

...or late summer 2008 as the case may be. The GBP was born out of the desire to give the piles of unused, unwanted, unloved bikes all around Tallahassee a second chance. Started as a one-man operation in Mike's dining room (he didn't have a garage), the GBP has grown to a staff of 3 and a 1500 square foot shop.

We offer everything from used bicycle sales to service in the shop. The shop also sponsors community outreach classes on subjects such as bicycle repair and safety. These classes are free but require registration in advance. We are also involved with community events such as long bike rides and sustainability fairs.
